WES WELKER EXPLAINS THAT ANGRY OUTBURST FROM TOM BRADY

Wes Welker has provided an explanation for why CBS caught Tom Brady spewing a double expletive from the Patriots bench Sunday, and no, the cursing wasn't directed at the Buffalo Bills, the officials or Buffalo's fans.
Interviewed on Boston-area radio station WEEI, Welker said he and teammate Deion Branch were the targets, because they had just teased Brady that his rare touchdown run wasn't going to count, because Brady's knee was down.
Said Welker: “I think it was kind of directed at, towards me and Deion a little bit. We were giving him a hard time that his knee was down and we didn’t know what he was doing on the bench over there (while the play was being reviewed). He better get his butt up and get back out on the field because his knee was down and so he’s like, ‘What are you talking about, I was in.’ So I think they caught him at a perfect moment where we were just kind of just jawing back and forth and things like that."
Brady appeared on WEEI on Monday and demurred, saying: “I’d rather not say. It wasn’t the fans and it wasn’t the refs or anything like that. It was an emotional thing. I was just fired up.”
And Brady did win the argument, as the TD was ruled good.
