Jay Cutler caught chewing out teammate on TV
Jay Cutler had seven reasons to be upset with his offensive line Thursday night after getting sacked seven times by the Green Bay Packers. And a national television audience saw him take out his frustration on Chicago's left tackle, J'Marcus Webb.
TV cameras caught Cutler chest-bumping Webb after one sack and yelling at him to "get your (expletive) head into the game."
“I care about this,’’ Cutler told the Chicago Sun-Times. "This isn’t just a hobby for me. If we’re not doing things the right way, I’m going to say something. If they want a quarterback that doesn’t care then they better get someone else.’’
Cutler had this to add about his offensive line's shortcomings: “We can only do as much as they can handle . . . If they can only block three-step drops, we can only throw three-step passes. We’re limited to what they can do and as of now, they’ve been holding up really well."
Meantime, Cutler also has to endure a pointed jab from Green Bay safety Charles Woodson. The eight-time Pro Bowler decided to have the last laugh on Cutler, who had mockingly wish the Green Bay secondary "good luck" with covering the Bears' new, taller receivers.
Green Bay intercepted Cutler four times, which lead Woodson to tell ESPN that: "We understand that Jay is excited about his new weapons, but it's the same old Jay. We don't need luck. Jay will throw us the ball."
Greg Robinson yeah, but J needs to stop throwing all those ints
Reggie Givens Culter is going to have a short career at QB if he keep get sack & Hit like that every week
Keith Null Oh Jay had a rough day!
Daryn Colledge Offensive line is the closest group on every NFL team, OL job to get on other OLineman, not the QB. Just my humble opinion.
Gary Scamehorn Lots of great points already made.I'm on the fence...I just wonder if it did more harm then good.
Andre Collins We all have our tough days , but give him a break.
Troy Drayton He needed to say something, he was getting his ass killed out there.
Jitter Fields Jay has a job to do and a city to save. Let him have what he needs to get it done. Stick with Jay win or lose. Hey that was only game number two and it came a little early this time. However, the Packers prevail this time because Chicago's offensive line almost was a no-show.
Reggie Givens As one of the leader on the Team he has every right too!! An for being the guy getting Hit every Play he need to Step up and Voice himself!! There's no babies on the team, everyone needs to Man up and do what you get Paid for.. Or the team will find someone else..
Marq Cerqua At the end of the day each player has to focus on their position and trust that 10 other guys are doing their job. The question here is "How will J'Marcus Webb and the rest of the O'line react?" If I was head coach of the Chicago Bears I would chap Jay Cutlers ass in front of the team and let him know where the buck stops. Players have to play, coaches have to coach. When players start coaching, it doesn't usually end well. The Bears better come together as a team and fast!
