Bills C Eric Wood back in action early
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Buffalo Bills center Eric Wood has returned to action ahead of schedule.
The Bills announced Friday that Wood would play at Minnesota, after originally targeting the third preseason game for his return from surgery on his right knee last November. Another starter on the offensive line, right tackle Erik Pears, was in the lineup too. Pears had minor offseason surgery for an unspecified injury.
Defensive tackle Letroy Guion and running back Adrian Peterson were the Vikings starters not suited up. Guion has a minor injury to his right knee, and Peterson is recovering from left knee surgery.
Offensive linemen DeMarcus Love and Geoff Schwartz, tight end John Carlson, running back Jordan Todman, wide receiver Kamar Jorden, linebacker Solomon Elimimian and safety Robert Blanton were the other Vikings out.
